INVESTMENT CERTIFICATES WITH EAR

INVESTMENT CERTIFICATES WITH EARLY REDEMPTION
 

                                                                                                        

The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic hereby notifies the general public, as well as non-financial companies, as to the temporary suspension, as of September 3, 2009, of new placings through direct trading of Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Rollover.

 

Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Renewal and placed before the date of this suspension may be rolled over automatically at maturity. For these renovations, the following interest rates shall apply:

8.0%


Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Rollover that are redeemed prior to maturity are subject to the following rates:

1.0%

From 90 to 179 days

2.0%

180 to 364 days

3.0%

365 days, prior to 18 months

4.0%

18 months, prior to 24 months

5.0%

From 24 months, prior to 30 months

6.0%

From 30 months, prior to 36 months

7.0%


This measure will be applied to Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Rollover, authorized and traded in conformity with the following Resolutions:

 

a)   Second Resolution, of April 3, 2003 and its amendments, which authorized placings of Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Rollover.

 

b)   Fourth Resolution, of April 3, 2003 and its amendments, which authorized placings of Special Investment Certificates.

 

c)   First Resolution, of July 14, 2003 and its amendments, which authorized placings of Investment Certificates with Early Redemption and Automatic Rollover.
