1 The Central Bank Average Spot Exchange Rate against U.S. Dollar is established with the weighted average of all the transactions of the Financial Intermediaries and the Exchange Agents before 5:30 p.m.
2 The Spot Exchange Rates for the purchase of Convertible Currencies are calculated with the rates of currencies to U.S. Dollar provided by the IMF. It is published daily by 6:30 p.m.
3 The Average Spot Exchange Rate against U.S. Dollar of Financial Intermediaries and the Exchange Agents is calculated as a weighted average of all transactions of the previous day. This rate may differ from the central bank average spot exchange rate because the coverage is higher as it includes full day transactions. It is published daily by 6:30 pm with one day lag.
4 Volume of Foreign Exchange Operations: The sum of all operations performed in a month by Financial Intermediaries, Exchange Agents and Remittance Agents. The gross volume corresponds to all transactions, while net volume discounts inter-institutional operations (carried out between financial intermediaries and exchange agents).
